With Faith and God’s direction we will;

Empower people to fulfill the purpose God has given them;

Encourage all to be disciples of God and sow seeds of love in the hearts of all people;

Evolve into ministry areas that will produce labors for the Lord;

Expansion of financial wealth according to God’s principles to reach the growing harvest of souls and expand the facilities and ministries as needed.

 Message From the Pastor’s Desk

“I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.” John 12:46 (NASB)

Glory to Almighty God! I am honored and excited about my recent appointment as Pastor at Mack’s Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Let me introduce myself.

I, Rev. Janice M. Harris reside in Fayetteville, NC. I was born in Roxboro, NC the second oldest of four daughters. I grew up in Roxboro, NC, where I  met and married my high school sweetheart, Theodore. We have been married for 44 years. We have two children, and four grandchildren. I attended Fayetteville State University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. I received a Master’s degree in Business Administration/Health Care Management from American International University (AIU). I accepted the call to ministry in 1994 and was ordained deacon and later Elder by Bishop Vinton R. Anderson. I was appointed and have served as pastor in the North Carolina conference for nearly 25 years. But enough about me.

My purpose and reason for being here at Mack’s Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church and the Red Springs community is to serve God and His people.

I believe that God has called me to equip and empower individuals and families for Kingdom Service. My burning desire is for every individual, young and old, to experience the fullness of life through Jesus Christ spiritually, physically, financially,
relationally, and socially. I believe ministry is not about perfect people, but about helping and encouraging people to discover life in Jesus. I believe that it is important that everyone understand that they are special to God and know His divine
purpose and destiny for their life. I believe our focus cannot be on the past, but on the present and the future. I believe we must respond to the call of Jesus Christ and live faithfully according to His Word.

I believe more often than not God has for us new experiences and opportunities that will deepen our soul and broaden our vision. I am excited about being at Mack’s Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

I envision a church where God is glorified in every area; a church that is reaching higher and higher in order to bring glory to God. A church that has great commitment to both the Great Commandment, Matthew 22:37-40 and the Great Commission,
Matthew 28:18-20. I foresee a church that is healthy and that is committed to developing healthy relationships with God and with one another.

A church where the hurting, the depressed, the disappointed, the lonely, the confused, the guilty and the sinful find forgiveness, love, acceptance, help, hope, guidance, encouragement, support and salvation in Christ Jesus.

A church where every person in the community has an opportunity to hear the good news of the gospel. A church that has an outstanding facility that meets our entire ministry needs.

I picture a church where God is Lord of Lord and King of King.

Please join us at Mack’s Chapel for our Bible Study, Church School, worship Services and all other ministries opportunities. Everyone is welcome.

Your Servant in Jesus Christ,
Rev. Janice M. Harris, Pastor
